A customer sends you a crisp logo, you scale it up for a back print, and suddenly the fine lines look soft. That is not a DTF problem. It is a file-resolution problem. Going much higher rarely improves the finished transfer. PDF files are also excellent when they contain true vector objects or properly embedded, high-resolution images. They can be a smart choice for logos and artwork created in Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or similar design software. Just make sure the design is not being exported as a tiny low-resolution image inside a PDF wrapper.
JPG files can print well when the resolution is sufficient, but they do not support transparency. A white or colored background that looks invisible on a white screen may become part of the transfer. If the artwork needs a transparent background, use PNG or a properly prepared vector file instead.
